Youth arrested with narcotics worth Rs 24 lakh

Sashstra Seema Bal (SSB) has arrested a 21-year-old youth with narcotics worth Rs 24 lakh from Sonauli area on Indo-Nepal border here.
During a routine checking, a local Ramesh Sarma was arrested yesterday and 125 grams of smack worth Rs 24 lakh was recovered from his possession, SSB Deputy Commandant Manish Kumar said.
The accused was later handed over to police authorities.
Sarma has been booked under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, police said.
