The group administrator, who is also the son of Nagarpalika Parishad Chairman, posted the comments involving the religious figure and his daughter on the social networking group.
The locals lodged a strong protest leading to manhandling of the youth, police said.
Schools and markets were also closed due to protest, and dharna was staged before the Chibramau kotwali, demanding strong action against the guilty persons.
SP Kalanidhi Naithani rushed to the spot and said that police and PAC has been deployed in strength in the area to avoid any untoward incident.
IG Law and Order A Satish Ganesh said that he took stock of the situation in Gursahayganj which was under control.
"Strict directives have been issued to take stern action against all those responsible," the IG added.
