allegedly killed a youth and dumped his body along the road side in Bhiwandi here, police said today.
The 22-year-old boy, identified as Sanjay Vemulla's body was recovered last night along side the Vasai road near one Hotel Gunjan in Karivali village of Bhiwandi with his throat slit, senior inspector at Bhoiwada police station S S Shinde said.
According to the victim's father Satyanarayan Vemulla, he had received a call from his son on December 1 that he was being manhandled by some persons near the Hotel Gunjan. Soon after the call, he rushed to the spot but could not locate Sanjay, Shinde said.
A case has been registered under IPC section 302 (punishment for murder) in this regard and hunt was on to nab the assailants, police said.
