Youth kidnapped, rescued within hours

Manjinder Singh was abducted by Sukhwinder and his father Jagdip Singh from Aliwal village when he was returning to his home in a car, DSP Kirpal Singh said.

The abductors then took him to some secluded place in Qadian Rajpoota village, he said.

Manjinder, however, was released in a rescue operation after his friend, who was also travelling with him, informed police about the incident, Singh said.

A case under various sections of the IPC has been registered against the duo.
