Banque Nationale de Paris Hong Kong said on Monday it was looking at various businesses of the Peregrine group but had not yet made an offer to buy parts of the bankrupt investment bank.

We are looking at different areas equities, asset management, merger and acquisitions and brokerage, a spokeswoman said. We are still looking at all the aspects but we have not done anything for now.

Peregrine Investments Holdings Ltd, one of Asias largest investment banks, filed for liquidation last week.
