Ravi Bishnoi, who picked two very crucial wickets of Roston Chase and Rovamnan Powell in his very first international game in senior India colours and gave way only 17 runs in his four-over spell is chosen as Player of the Match. Let's hear from him. 
 
Bishnoi says, "It was a dream for me and I was very nervous as west indies are one of the top t20i teams and I wanted to do well. I just wanted to ball stump to stump and didn't want to give the batters any runs. In dew, it gets tough to ball and the match pressure adds to it. I never thought that I will get the Player of the Match award in the very first game."

Rohit Sharma- Bishnoi is a very talented guy and that's why we drafted him in the squad straightway. He can bowl anywhere in the innings and gives us a lot of options to rotate other bowlers, so very happy with his first game for India. He has got a great future, it's up to us to use him well now. 
 
Rohit Sharma about the tricky chase- It did get a bit tricky. We should have finished it off early and the bowling unit did well to restrict a team full of such power hitters to under 160.

The three players that stole the show in this game apart from Suryakumar Yadav were Indian debutant Ravi Bishnoi, West Indies's Roston Chase and India captain Rohit Sharma. 
 
While Rohit made 40 off just 19 balls to give India a brilliant start to the chase, Ravi Bishnoi, the debutant, took two wickets in his very first match and finished the match with figures of 2-17 in his four overs. 
 
Roston Chase, who did not find a place in the Playing 11 in the three ODIs, shone with the ball as he removed both India openers ion Rohit Sharm and Ishna Kishan and gave his team a chance to come back with his brilliant spell of 2-14 in his four overs.

For India, debutant Ravi Bishnoi took two wickets while Harshal Patel also finished with two wickets in his four overs. Pooran top-scored for West Indies with 61 off 43 balls. Other than him, opener Kyle Mayers scored 31 off 24 balls and Pollard remained unbeaten at 24. 
 
The toss between India skipper Rohit Sharma and his West Indian counterpart- Kieron Pollard was won by Rohit who elected to bowl first at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

The India cricket team beat the West Indies cricket team in the 1st T20I of the three-match T20I series at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, West Bengal. India chased down 158 with a loss of just four wickets as a 44 run stand between Suryakumar Yadav and Venkatesh Iyer got India over the line with seven balls still in the bag. 
 
India lost Virat Kohli and Ishan Kishan in a span of just two overs and were in a bit of bother after starting the chase in style, scoring 58 in the Powerplay with skipper Rohit Sharma taking on the West Indian bowlers. Roston Chase removed Rohit and Ishan Kishan to get West Indies back in the game while Fabian Allen removed Virat Kohli and Sheldon Cotrell did Rishabh Pant.

When Suryakumar Yadav came to the crease, India had lost two quick wickets of Ishan Kishan and Virat Kohli and still needed 63 runs to win. He had a 19 run stand with Rishabh and then had an unbeaten 48 run stand with Venkatesh Iyer and took India to the victory. Venkatesh Iyer hit the winning runs with the six. He remained unbeaten on 24 off 13 while Surya was not out for 34 off 18 balls as India won the game by six wickets with seven balls in hand.
