Prasidh Krishna, who took four wickets and most importantly removed three top batters of the team in Brandon King, skipper Nicholas Pooran and Darren Bravo has been chosen as Player of the Match for his match figures of 4-12 in nine overs. These are also his career-best figures so far.

West Indies, who were set a target of 238 to win, never looked like getting to it as they kept losing wickets continuously and ended up being 767-5 before Akeal Hosein joined Shamarh Brooks and both added 44 for the sixth wicket. Hosein then partnered with Fabian Allen to get Windies past 150 and in contention of the chase before both of them were removed quick succession to leave the Caribbean team reeling at 159-8. 

 

A few big shots from Odean Smith flickered up some hope for the Windies team but Washington Sunar's tight line saw his back as well. West Indies were eventually bowled out for 193, giving India a 44 run win. 

 

Prasidh Krishna picked four wickets for India while Shardul Thakur got two wickets. 

 

Earlier in the day after losing the toss and being asked to bat first, India set 238 as the target for West Indies after Suryakumar Yadav's 65 and 49 from KL Rahul. Odean Smith and Alzarri Joseph picked two wickets each for West Indies.

In a much deserving manner Prasidh Krishna, the bowler who started the wicket fall of West Indies has ended it as well as he traps Kemar Roach LBW to take his fourth wicket of the game and help India win the game by 44 runs and take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

Alzarri Joseph takes a single and brings Odean on strike for five balls against Washington Sundar. This is interesting

 

After all the drama and excitement to the build-up of this over and Washington Sundar manages to sustain it till the last over as Virat Kohli takes a stunning catch to remove Odean Smith. The ball was a bit short, not full enough to slog sweep, Smith still went for it and managed to sky it to mid-wicket where Kohli was calm as a cucumber to hold on to it.

Sixer!! They have had enough of part-timer Hooda it seems. This time around it is Allen. It was in the arc and he goes down on one knee and slogs it over mid-wicket for a six.
