David Miller hit three sixes off the first three balls of the 20th over to win the match for Gujarat Titans when they needed 16 off the last over against Rajasthan Royals. Courtesy of this victory, Hardik Pandya led side has now made it to the final of their inaugural season in IPL itself. 

 

The chase of 189 was never going to be easy and with the kind of bowling that Rajasthan Royal possessed, it wasn't going to be easy at all. However, tonight, the Rajasthan bowlers were not able to pick timely wickets apart from the first one. Added to that was an unbeaten partnership of 106 off just 60 balls by Miller and Pandya that took the Titans home by 7 wickets. 

 

Earlier in the evening, after being asked to bat first, Rajasthan reached more than a competitive total of 188/6 in their 20 overs thanks to brilliant innings of 89 (56) by Jos Buttler and 47 (27) by Samson. 

 

This win will take Gujarat straightaway to the final of IPL 2022 while Rajasthan will get another chance to make it to the final. They will face the winner of the Eliminator between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore which will be played on May 25, 2022, at the Eden Gardens itself.
