Chennai-based education and placement services company EdServ has tied-up with Corel Corporation of Canada for global e-training. The Canadian company makes graphics and productivity software such as Corel Draw, and has over 100 million active users in 75 countries.
With this tie-up, EdServ has become an authorised online training partner of Corel with rights to train and certify students on the Corel technology, graphics design and desktop publishing, according to a company statement.
The company aims to train around 200,000 students worldwide in the next 18 months, and has set its sights on institutions, corporates, students and job seekers. EdServ would make exclusive e-content for various tools of Corel which would be branded as the authorised e-content for becoming a certified professional by COREL worldwide.
S Giridharan, chairman and CEO, EdServ, hoped the partnership would provide a global reach to generate revenues of Rs 60 crore over the next 18 months. With EdServ targeting the school segment this year as part of its Vidhyadhana Academy, the company would be able to offer Corel’s curriculum and the certification programme to its expanding school network, he said.
