Technology services company iGATE has posted 83.6 per cent rise in net income to $11.2 million for the Q2-ended June 30, 2010, from $6.1 million in the same period last year. Consolidated revenues rose 42.7 per cent to $66.8 million from $46.8 million recorded in the corresponding quarter last year. iGATE ended the quarter with a global headcount of over 8,100 employees, a net addition of 800 employees. The company added four customers in the quarter. As of June 30, 2010, the company’s cash and cash equivalents and short-term investments increased to $104.4 million from $96.8 million.
