The next time you visit Alibaba.com, seeking professional advice on international marketing, you’ll find a young Indian at your service. The world’s leading business-to-business (B2B) international trade portal has — for the first time — roped in an Indian consultant, Azaz Motiwala, for its ‘ask an expert’ forum, which helps traders across the globe with various issues of international marketing.

The thirty-five-year old engineer, who holds an MBA degree, runs IKON Marketing Consultants in Rajkot.

Alibaba.com will organise five online seminars of Azaz Motiwala on various subjects. Motiwala will share his views on topic like ‘five steps action plan for successful export marketing’, ‘how to identify your target market’, ‘how to attract and win buyers’ and ‘top 10 mistakes to avoid while doing export marketing’. “I used to give my views and my articles were seen on various reputed B2B trade portals. Alibaba got my refrence from these sites and they approached me,” Motiwala told Business Standard.

Alibaba.com is an arm of Alibaba group, China’s top e-commerce firm and has a community of more than 32 million registered users from across 240 countries and regions. It has offices in over 30 cities across mainland China as well as offices in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Europe and the US.

One can log on to www.alibaba.com.cn  meant for domestic trade in China, whereas for Japanese language users the group has floated www.alibaba.co.jp.
