This will be the second campus of Infosys in the city after its software development centre at Infocity, another IT cluster built in late 1990s.

The water supply problem to the Infosys building is yet to be sorted out. Idco has been directed to take steps to meet its immediate requirement.
Similarly, the Odisha Power Transmission Corporation (OPTCL) has been asked to complete power connectivity to Info Valley by December 2014. However, Infosys can operationalize its centre in this complex by drawing power from 33 Kv line of Central Electricity Supply Utility (CESU), a distribution company managed by Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC).
To expedite the completion of Info Valley project, the state IT (information technology) department has constituted a nine member inter- departmental high powered project monitoring committee with state IT secretary as the chairman and chairman and managing director of Idco as co-chairman. The other members of the panel are secretary, Works department, special secretary (H&UD department), representatives from the Energy department, project director of National Highways Authority of India (Bhubaneswar), collector of Khurdha district, Infosys centre head (Bhubaneswar). Additional secretary of the IT department is the member convenor.
The development of this complex is significant as the state's new ICT policy aims to achieve a turnover (including exports of software and IT services and Electronic System Design Manufacturing, domestic consumption and training) of four billion dollar by 2020. Singapore-based Jurong Consultants is entrusted to prepare the master plan for the Info Valley project which is designed to pull investors in IT and ITes sectors.
