Internet browsing has emerged as the No. 1 habit for consumers using Net on their mobile handsets, followed by e-mail and chat, according to a Nielsen study, commissioned by Nokia.
"Nokia has emerged as the most preferred brand for 'Internet experience' among consumers in the sub Rs 6,000 handset price category across eight Indian cities," Nokia said in a release here today.
Speaking about the consumers' internet usage preferences and frequency on their mobile handset, it said that Internet browsing and not Email or chatting or social networking was the No. 1 habit for consumers using Internet.
"Good Internet speed defines good overall internet experience on the mobile when it comes to browsing, emailing and chat and social networking," Nokia said.
The company said internet had emerged as the top consideration, set in 2011, for consumers while making a handset purchase decision in the sub Rs 6,000 price category.
