The future for the IT industry appears bright and the sector is likely to post double digit growth next year, industry veteran S Ramadorai said here today.
"The IT industry order pipeline was good from both US and India," Tata Consultancy Service (TCS) Vice-Chairman S Ramadorai said on the sidelines of a national seminar organised by CII-Suresh Neotia Centre of Excellence.
The IT companies are also looking at fresh recruitment after the slowdown. "Campus recruitment will also grow in the time to come," Ramadorai said.
However, he did not speak about TCS' recruitment or business acquisition plans.
Ramadorai also spoke about mKrishi, a mobile platform for farm information to farmers. "Trial run for this is being carried out in few districts of Maharashtra," he said.
He was unable to specify when the service will be commercially available.
