Reliance Communications (RCom) has launched a new scheme that enables its subscribers to make STD calls at Re 1 and local calls at 50 paise per minute. The GSM major has reduced call rates by 33 per cent for STD from the earlier Rs 1.50 per minute and effected a 50 per cent reduction on local calls. This follows a similar reduction in call rates by Virgin Mobile on Tuesday.
