Enterprise solutions provider SAP today unveiled three new applications targeted at the government sector which will help agencies deliver citizen services in a faster and simpler manner.

The three new applications -- Rakshak , TracOHealth and The 'Milk Co-operative' experience, have been conceived, designed and developed by SAP Labs India.

"These apps will enable government organisations and departments to enhance service delivery and responsiveness, and improve preparedness, prevention, safety and security outcomes in real-time," SAP India and Subcontinent Managing Director Suprakash Chaudhuri told reporters here at the SAP Forum Delhi today.

These solutions will help clients automate several operational areas including tracking and control, streamlining of procurement systems, budget and expense management, project and scheme implementation.

"These will help turn huge amounts of data into actionable information and deliver services more efficiently," he said.

Government verticals is one of the biggest revenue drivers for SAP India, in line with global trends. It works with more than 1,250 public sector firms in 70 countries. The company does not break up country-specific numbers.

Its clients include Department of Posts, Air India, Maharashtra State Power Generation Co Ltd, Ministry of Company Affairs, Electronics Corporation of India Limited and BSNL among others.

"We actively partner with the government to help them offer citizen services in a more efficient and transparent manner. These solutions have been developed by SAP Labs as part of our efforts to offer solutions for India, made in India," he said.

SAP Rakshak 2.0 offers real-time information for crime incidents happening across states to all the law enforcement agencies, both state and central.

The solution will help security agencies in better decision making and to build strategies to improve law and order situations.

"With built-in analytical capabilities like simulation of what-if scenarios, the platform can dramatically improve speed of response, resource and budget utilisation as well," Chaudhuri said.

TracOHealth aims to help maintain health-related information, while the Milk Co-operative Experience app offers dairy cooperatives gain real-time visibility on the procurement to plan its production and distribution.
