TCS among six Indian cos named on 'FinTech 100' list

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) along with five other Indian firms has been named among the top 100 global entities offering IT solutions for the financial services industry worldwide.

The list 'FinTech 100' compiled by research firm American Banker and Financial Insights focuses on IT applications and services companies, which garner more than one-third of their revenues from the financial services sector.

The league of 100 is topped by Fiserv, followed by Fidelity National Information Services, Sungard and Diebold at the second, third and fourth places, respectively.

Apart from TCS, which is placed at the sixth spot, other Indian firms in the list are Patni Computer Systems ranked 35th, Polaris Software Lab (38), Mphasis (39), Firstsource Solutions (54) and iGate Global Solutions (65).

TCS, which is the lone Indian company in the top 10, has improved its ranking from last year's 10th position.

Meanwhile, Infosys Technologies which had last year been ranked at the 14th place could not find a place among the top 100 list.

The IT major has, however, been named among the Top 25 Enterprise Companies in FinTech at the 20th place this year.
