UP, Karnataka and TN lead in use of regional apps: Indus App Trends Report

While Indus App Bazaar offers access in 12 Indian languages, English, Hindi and Marathi are the top-3 in terms of content consumption in March 2021

Indus OS, founded by three IITians--Rakesh Deshmukh, Akash Dongre, and Sudhir B in 2015--is a home-grown app-content-discovery platform that helps smartphone users consume apps and content in the language of their choice. The company operates a full-fledged Android app store, known as Indus App Bazaar.

"The top-3 states in terms of active users were UP, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, all of which have a strong younger demographic presence. This continues to signal a validation to our vision and focus on delivering simplified access to content and a custom-made content delivery approach. While Indus App Bazaar offers access in 12 Indian languages, English, Hindi and Marathi are the top-3 languages of content consumption in March 2021," said Rohit Utmani, Head of Product-Indus App Bazaar.
