Jharkhand govt waived loans of 176,977 farmers worth Rs 400.7 crore

Before the Election Commission of India announced the voting dates, governments in Maharashtra and Jharkhand announced a slew of measures aimed at the electorate. The Maharashtra Cabinet, in particular, cleared welfare schemes and development initiatives worth almost Rs 1 trillion since June.
