Ashok Leyland Ltd has entered into an agreement with Hino Motors Ltd, Japan (Hino), to utilse Hino's engine technology for Ashok Leyland's EURO-VI development and will support in development of Hino's engine parts purchasing in India for global operation.Hino and Ashok Leyland have had a co-operative agreement for engine production in India since 1986.Through the new mutual co-operation agreement, both companies will leverage each other strengths in diesel engines to enhance their competitivenessALL will jointly develop engines for BS-Vi compliance in India through the engine technology of Hino Motors, which will promote engine parts development in India by utilising ALL in India to strengthen Hino's competitiveness.Vinod K Dasari, managing director, Ashok Leyland said that the co-operation between the two companies would be mutually beneficial and would enable both to produce globally competitive products.Yoshio Shimo, president and CEO of Hino Motors said "we believe this ...
