German luxury carmaker BMW is looking at double- digit sales growth this year having already reported record deliveries in 2024, its India Group President and CEO Vikram Pawah said on Saturday. The company is also expecting its electric vehicle sales portfolio to go up this year. In 2024, BMW Group India posted its best-ever annual car sales at 15,721 units, an 11 per cent growth over the previous year. The BMW brand registered 15,012 units while the MINI brand clocked 709 units in 2024. The group's motorcycle brand, BMW Motorrad sold 8,301 units last year. Asked if the company is looking at a similar growth as last year, Pawah said,"Thinking anything less than a double- digit growth will be understatement for India as a country itself. So absolutely, yes." He noted that all segments -- entry, mid and luxury -- were witnessing growth at a very solid pace for the company in the Indian market. German luxury vehicle maker BMW Group on Friday reported a 10 per cent rise in total car sales at 9,580 units in India in the first nine months of 2023, driving towards another record sales in the year. The group's three brands -- BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad (two-wheeler) recorded the best-ever January-September period sales in the country, BMW Group India said. The BMW brand clocked 8,998 units in the first nine months of the year, up 10 per cent from the year-ago period, while the MINI brand posted 582 units, also at a growth of 10 per cent. The group's premium motorcycle brand BMW Motorrad registered sales of 6,778 units in the January-September period, rising 26 per cent from the same period a year ago. German automotive group BMW on Tuesday reported record sales of its luxury cars and motorcycles in India at 19,263 units in 2022. Customer deliveries of cars of both brands BMW and MINI registered a growth of 35 per cent at 11,981 units last year, which was the highest-ever, BMW Group India said in a statement. BMW India registered sales of 11,268 units at a growth of 37 per cent and MINI India of 713 units, up 11 per cent from 2021, it added. Sports Activity Vehicle range, including the X1, X3, X5 and X7 grew at over 60 per cent, while luxury sedans such as the 3 Series, 5 Series and 6 Series continued their strong run, the company said. "Due to a high demand, most BMW models now have a waiting period of up to six months," it added. For the MINI brand, locally produced 'Countryman' had a share of 41 per cent in sales while the 'Hatch' contributed 38 per cent and 'Convertible' 21 per cent.
