Tata Sky to premiere Slumdog Millionaire

Tata Sky Ltd, the JV between the Tata Group and STAR will premiere the Oscar-nominated “Slumdog Millionaire” on its pay-per-view (PPV) service, “SHOWCASE”. Priced at Rs 25 the mega blockbuster would premiere on February 20th and would be available till December 22 in English and Hindi.

In a statement, Vikram Mehra, Chief Marketing Officer, Tata Sky said “Tata Sky has always persevered in garnering maximum customer satisfaction and therefore making accessible the best cinema to our viewers. Today, broadcasters understand the importance of movies on DTH as it enriches the pay-per-view (PPV) experience and becomes an appointment viewing for the customer. On PPV, new movie releases enables both parties to monetize as well as kill piracy.”
