Adlabs Films, ABB India & Whirlpool Q1 result

Adlabs Films net loss at Rs 64 crore
Film and entertainment services company Adlabs Films Ltd, a member of the Reliance ADA group, has posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 64 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, compared with Rs 33.87 crore recorded last year.

ABB India net down 37%
ABB India has posted a 37 per cent slump in net profit at Rs 83 crore for its second quarter of the calendar year as against the corresponding period last year, owing to a Rs 50-crore forex loss on imports and delayed payments from customers. The company’s topline dropped by 7 per cent to Rs 1,525 crore during the quarter as sectors such as cement and engineering deferred capital expenditure spends.

Whirlpool net rises to Rs 46.2 cr
Home appliances major Whirlpool has posted a marginal consolidated net profit growth of 3.58 per cent for the quarter ended June 30 at Rs 46.2 crore, compared with Rs 44.6 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Revenue also increased by 13 per cent to Rs 623 crore, as compared with Rs 551 crore last year.
