"We are proud to launch the indigenously developed product, Thermol, in Gujarat. Thermol has the distinctive advantage over other fuel additives as it is indigenously developed, which best suits the Indian fuel requirements, whereas other additives are imported and marketed in India but do not necessarily meet the needs of Indian fuels," Ganesh Samant, chairman and managing director of AESL, told mediapersons here.
"An increased refinery conversion of crude oil including thermal cracking and visbreaking has resulted in residual fuels with increased levels of carbon residue asphaltenes and ash. Fuel oils with carbon residue levels up to 20 per cent are not common in both boilers and diesel engines. These fuels result in poor combustion, increased fouling, reduced power, increased maintenance and repair and ultimately global warming," Samant said.
"Besides thermol, thermol-p and thermol-d, the AESL product range includes thermact specially produced for solid fuels like coal, ace husk and others. In addition, there are lubricant-related products, aimed at improving the performance of various engines and the hydro clean range products for water treatment," Yogesh Shah, distributor in Gujarat region, said.
