Arise eyes 24% increase in sales at Rs 1,550 cr this year

Company reported a turnover of Rs 1,250 crore in the previous financial year

Electrical goods maker Arise India is targeting 24% growth in turnover at Rs 1,550 crore in this fiscal as it is expanding products range.

The company, which makes pump sets, inverters and batteries, and home and kitchen appliances, reported a turnover of Rs 1,250 crore in the previous financial year.

"We are targeting a turnover of Rs 1,550 crore. We expect turnover of consumer durables to grow multi-fold in the coming years. This fiscal we expect turnover from consumer durables at Rs 250 crore," Arise India Managing Director Avinash Jain told PTI. Sales from consumer durables in the previous year were at Rs 150 crore.

The company today launched a new range of LED TVs with Android Jellybean 4.2 operating system which allows consumers to surf internet and use android based applications on the TV.

The new range 'Arise LED TV For Android' is priced between Rs 35,000 and Rs 2 lakh for 32 to 84-inch screens.

"The Arise LED TV For Android redefines television viewing in the country. With this innovation, brand Arise is all set to capture the TV market of the country with its first-mover advantage," Jain added.

The company has roped in Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan as its brand ambassador for the new TV range.
