Asian Hotels (East) Q1 net up 5% at Rs 8 cr

Asian Hotels (East) that operates hotel Hyatt in Kolkata today posted 4.78% increase in its net profit at Rs 7.67 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011.

In the same quarter last year, the company's net profit stood at Rs 7.32 crore, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The company's net sales increased 1.08% at Rs 19.60 crore during the first three months of the current fiscal, as against Rs 19.39 crore during the same period last financial year.

The firm's scrips closed at Rs 299 per share, down 0.73% from the previous close on the BSE.
