These projects will be built in Andhra Pradesh solar park, where NTPC has auctioned a total capacity of 1,000 mw of solar power.
Azure Power has secured 100 mw of the total 150 mw capacity put up in reverse auction while quoting a tariff of Rs 5.12 per unit, almost 11 per cent higher than the price of the first two auctions from the same location.
The first two auctions in the AP solar park were won by Sun Edison and Soft Bank at a tariff of Rs 4.63 per unit. Ten companies have participated in the latest round of bidding. The auction was a part of National Solar Mission.
