The state-owned City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) will spend Rs 125 crore to build 1,145 tenements in Waluj area of Aurangabad city of Maharashtra.
The project is aimed at providing houses to middle class families in the town, CIDCO chairman Pramod Hindurao said, after a decision to this effect was taken at the meeting of the corporation's board here yesterday.
Hindurao also thanked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for deputing a senior officer from the Centre to look into the issues of the new airport, coming up in Navi Mumbai. He had earlier urged the Centre to help resolve the pending issues of the new airport and accord sanctions for its speedy completion.
CIDCO will make a presentation on the status of the new airport to the official.
