CSC, the NYSE-listed IT and business process outsourcing firm, today announced the appointment of Neeraj Nityanand as its managing director in India. He succeeds Brian J Manning, who had managed CSC’s India operations since 2010.

Nityanand will continue CSC’s efforts to expand the company’s market presence and global delivery capabilities in India, and will be responsible for the recruitment, training and resource management of CSC’s Indian workforce of over 24,000 employees.

“Neeraj’s leadership in India will be an important factor as we realign our global resources to deliver repeatable infrastructure and applications offerings to clients around the world,” said Thomas E Hogan, executive vice president and general manager of CSC Global Business Services and Regions.

Previously, Nityanand was senior Vice President of CSC’s Global Business Services (GBS) consulting unit where he led CSC’s India Direct initiative, designed to increase the company’s footprint in India. Nityanand was also responsible for new business within its GBS unit that required complex deal structuring, governance and global delivery from India and Vietnam.

He joined CSC in 2006 and previously worked with Scicom Infotech, Satyam Computer Services (now Mahindra Satyam) among others.
