Canbank Venture Capital Fund (CVCF), the country’s first and only public sector bank sponsored and Sebi registered venture capital fund, has launched its fifth fund with a corpus of Rs 500 crore. The CVCF from its four earlier funds has an aggregate corpus of Rs 117 crore and has assisted 95 companies across multiple sectors, the bank said in a statement.
Most of the public sector banks including Punjab National Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Union Bank of India, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Corporation Bank, Andhra Bank, Allahabad Bank, Vijaya Bank, United Bank of India, Dena Bank, IFCI, SIDBI and United Insurance Company have contributed to this fund.
