The four models - three tractor models and one construction mining model - will be commercially available as of today. The launch by the German subsidiary comes at a time when the Indian commercial vehicle industry is going through its toughest phase.
Marc Llistosella, Managing Director & CEO, DICV said, “The trucking industry in India is experiencing a tough phase. Under such circumstances, customers critically examine the offerings by manufacturers. With the launch of these trucks BharatBenz is now present in all major trucking segments as promised 2 years ago."
In March the company, which is not participating in the upcoming Auto Expo, plans to bring its buses to the Indian market. Last year Mercedes-Benz buses was brought under DICV.
