DCB net loss of Rs 3.22 crore

Mumbai-based private bank Development Credit Bank has posted a net loss of Rs 3.22 crore for the third quarter ended December 2008, compared to a net profit of Rs 25.71 crore in October-December 2007. Total income for the reporting quarter rose to Rs 167.62 crore from Rs 137.11 crore.

The Paper Products Q4 net declines 58%
The Paper Products (PPL), the country’s leading manufacturer of primary consumer packaging products, posted a decline of 58.41 per cent in net profit to Rs 3.81 crore in the fourth quarter ended December 2008, compared to Rs 9.16 crore in the corresponding previous quarter.

S Kumars’ Q3 net dips 34%
S Kumars Nationwide, one of the leading domestic textile firms, posted a drop of 33.67 per cent in net profit for the quarter ended December 2008 to Rs 37.94 crore, compared to Rs 57.20 crore in the corresponding period last financial year. The company’s net sales during the period stood at Rs 604.31 crore against Rs 453.07 crore, up 33.38 per cent. The expenditure on the raw material during the quarter increased to Rs 371.73 crore from Rs 297.40 crore last year.
