Tyre maker Dunlop India has posted a net profit of Rs 11.98 crore during the fourth quarter ended March 31.
The company had a net profit of Rs 1.72 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, Dunlop India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange on Saturday.
Total income of the company fell to Rs 11.07 crore during the January-March quarter of FY09 from Rs 85.41 crore of the same quarter a year earlier, it said.
Due to various reasons the company was forced to declare "Suspension of Work" at its Sahganj unit with effect from November30, 2008, however it was lifted on March 5 this year, Dunlop India said.
For the financial year ended March 31, the company registered a net profit of Rs 1.30 crore, while the same was at Rs 4.85 crore in FY08.
