Eknath Thakur appointed Saraswat Bank chairman

Kishore Ranganekar has been elected as Vice-Chairman, a release said here today.        

Saraswat Co-operative Bank, established in 1918, has a turnover of Rs 19,000-crore. The bank acquired three loss-making banks in the last two years and turned them into profitable ones in the first year of operations itself, the release said.        

Saraswat Bank has 154 branches pan-India.
