Elecon bags Rs 176.49 cr order from NMDC

One of the largest bulk material handling equipment manufacturer, Vallabh Vidyanagar-based Elecon Engineering Company Limited has bagged an order from the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC).

The order entails design, engineering, manufacturing, supplying, erection, and testing, among other things for NMDC's Down Hill Conveyor system for Kumarasamy iron ore project.

The order worth Rs 176.49 crore will also require Elecon in commissioning as per technical specifications including civil and structural works, electrical instrumentation, material handling equipment and other equipment for the Kumaraswamy Iron ore project Package II at the Donimalai Bellary district in Karnataka.

Earlier, Elecon had also bagged an order worth Rs 24.83 crore for its material handling equipment (MHE) division Kolkata-based SK Samanta and (P) Ltd.

The order required Elecon to design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of pulleys for main CHP and Power Build make Belt Weigher for Dipika main CHP.
