Phokela will oversee marketing, sales and customer experience for Ather Energy in his new role.
Phokela had also doned the role of chief marketing officer and head of e-commerce at Payback India, a coalition loyalty and performance marketing programme part of American Express.
"Ravneet brings valuable experience to Ather and will be an asset to the management team. His knowledge in driving brand and customer experiences is significant and strategic, as we near the launch of our vehicle," said Tarun Mehta, chief executive officer and co-founder, Ather Energy.
