The Future Group will be adding 15 to 20 stores in the next three months to the existing 200 stores located in 102 cities across the country.

Participating in Bricks and Clicks, an interactive session on online and offline retail world organised by the Ficci Ladies Organisation here recently, Rakesh Biyani, the joint managing director of Future Group, Biyani said: “We will keep adding 15 to 30 stores every year in the next five years. Our goal is to be present in about 300 towns and 6,500 pin codes across the country.”

The group sees a footfall of 330 million across its stores every year, while a mere 80 million shop online, he said, adding that they would be rolling out its omni-channel retail strategy.

“This will provide the consumer a single view of the retail business through different channels like mobile, online or physical stores. We know the power of digital space. We will go online through the omni-channel move. We are exploring various possibilities such as digital ordering within the store. We are also investing in digital space. We cannot ignore its power,” Biyani said.

“With this consumers can order online, and collect the products at the store or get it delivered. Consumers can run an online cart. They can even place an order and choose to get it delivered at home,” he added.
