GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals net profit for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2009 halved to Rs 103.6 crore from Rs 208.4 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Revenue for the quarter at Rs 449.9 crore increased 19.8 per cent from Rs 375.5 crore registered in the same quarter last year.
The Group’s net profit for the year ended December 31, 2009 was down 14 per cent at Rs 507.8 crore from Rs 591 crore reported last year. Revenue for the full year at Rs 1,926.5 crore was up 10.6 per cent from Rs 1,742.6 crore for the year ended December 31, 2008.
The company also announced the payment of dividend of Rs 30 per share for the year ended December 31, 2009.
