Elaborating on the origin of Navi, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said that the motorcycle priced at Rs 39,500 would be targeted at the youth.
"From business point of view, almost 70% of two wheelers sold in the country today have engine displacement of upto 110 cc. However most in the segments are lookalike without much differentiation. We completely built this motorcycle in Honda R&D India centre," Guleria said.
The new motorcycle comes in different concepts such as off road, adventure and street versions, which people can choose from.
After getting a favourable response for its mid segment sports motorcycle CBR 650F, the company is launching its Africa Twin that has proved itself at one of the toughest races in the world, Dakar Rally. The price of the premium off roader was not disclosed.
