Hewlett-Packard (HP) India today remained optimistic about the computing products market in the country despite projections despite lower GDP expectations for the current fiscal.

"We do not foresee any impact on low GDP number projections for the year. We remain optimistic about the computing products market," HP India director (consumer category) Ketan Patel said here.

He said with low penetration of computerisation in the country, innovative devices were being scouted for and state government's purchase programmes for distribution to students would be drivers for growth.
