The Blackstone Group announced today that Jitesh Gadhia has joined the firm as a Senior Managing Director in its Corporate Advisory Group. Gadhia was most recently Managing Director and Head of Advisory at Barclays Capital. Gadhia will be based in Blackstone’s London office.
Commenting on the appointment, John Studzinski, Global Head of Blackstone Advisory Partners said: “With his rich experience, reputation and an extensive trackrecord in UK and Europe across multiple industry sectors, Jitesh will add to the strength of our existing platform and have the opportunity to develop our advisory presence in new markets. Also, Jitesh was at the forefront of developing cross border activity with emerging markets such as India, which are increasingly important for Blackstone.”
Jitesh Gadhia added: “I am excited to be joining Blackstone’s successful and growing advisory franchise. Blackstone’s powerful network of relationships, access to capital and expanding geographic reach, across developed and emerging markets, offers a unique proposition for clients.”
Jitesh Gadhia has almost 20 years’ investment banking experience, having held senior positions at Barclays Capital, ABN AMRO and Baring Brothers. He graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in Economics and attended the London Business School as a Sloan Fellow.
Gadhia also serves as a Trustee of the UK’s National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts and, in 2008, was selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
