British retailer Marks & Spencer posted 36% growth in its sales in the country for the 13 weeks ended 2014, mainly driven by strong performance in womenswear, menswear, kidswear , and beauty sections, the company said. M&S has JV with Reliance Industries in India.
During the quarter, M&S' linen sales was up 31 per cent on last year. M&S's beachwear sales increased by 37 per cent on last year. Swimsuit sales were up 22 per cent on last year, whilst cover ups were the fastest growing part of the range seeing sales increase by 90 per cent on last year.
