Mahindra Satyam BPO, the BPO arm of Mahindra Satyam, a global consulting and IT services provider today announced the renewal of its contract with NAVTEQ, a global provider of digital map data, for a further period of two years. The contract renewal marks an extension of the BPO's five-year relationship with NAVTEQ.

Commenting on the renewal, Luther Siebert, vice president of global production operations at NAVTEQ , said, “We are delighted to extend our contract with Mahindra Satyam BPO. Mahindra Satyam BPO has always displayed initiative and enthusiasm to support the complex processes required in the creation and updates of NAVTEQ’s digital maps. They have played an important role in helping Navteq provide best-in-class geospatial services to its customers globally.”

The company cited Mahindra Satyam BPO’s abilities to successfully handle multiple projects across geographies, deliver high-quality services and consistently enhance productivity as the main reasons for the contract renewal.

Vijay Rangineni, CEO, Mahindra Satyam BPO said, “The renewal of the contract for a further period of two years shows NAVTEQ’s confidence in our organisation. In 2004, we started by handling two of the customer’s processes. Over time, we have strengthened our relationship by handling various distinct and complex processes for the customer. The renewal of the contract was a logical extension. We are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead of us, and are confident that our engagement with NAVTEQ will continue to be a strategic business relationship in the true sense of the term.”

The services currently provided by Mahindra Satyam BPO include geospatial software applications and modeling, as well as data support services.
