Marico Q4 net up 7% at Rs 336 cr

FY12 net profit jumps 11% to Rs 317 cr

Marico Limited reported a 6.7% rise in net profit at Rs 336.5 crore for the quarter ended March 2012 as against Rs 315.3 crore in March 2011.

The total income jumped 27.4% to Rs 3,022 crore from Rs 2,372 crore in the same period a year ago.

The company reported a 10.7% increase in net profit at Rs 317.1 crore for the financial year ended March 2012. It was Rs 286.4 crore in the financial year ended March 2011.

The total income for FY12 was up 28% at Rs 4,039.6 as compared to Rs 3,156.2 crore in FY11.

Marico's scrip on BSE was trading 0.7% down during the afternoon trade at Rs 178.5.
