Musafir.com signs Tendulkar as brand ambassador

Indian arm to be promoted by regional reality player Viva holdings, Universal Travels and Tourism LLC

Travel website musafir.com, a UAE based premium-experience travel portal today entered into the fast-growing Indian Online Travel Agency market by signing on Sachin Tendulkar as its brand ambassador.
 
The Indian venture is promoted by a regional reality player Viva Holdings and Universal Travels and Tourism LLC (UAE).
 
“Online travel in India has been witnessing significant growth. By 2015, the market size is expected to reach Rs 55,000 crore and OTAs are expected to account for a 40% share of this market. We would like to establish our footprint in this market through our experience and expertise,” said Mehul Thakur, Director, Viva Holdings.
 
Musafir.com will offer complete travel solutions to Indian travelers with unique product innovation and exceptional customer service. The travel portal aims to improve the way people plan their holidays.
 
The travel portal offers flights to over 3,000 destinations around the world through 276 airlines, besides offering domestic and international hotel deals. In the near future, the brand also plans to launch unique tailored holiday packages for consumers; however, the main focus in the initial quarters for the brand will be flight bookings.
