NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam appoints Anil Agarwal as CEO

State-run NTPC today said its wholly-owned subsidiary NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam has appointed Anil Agarwal as its Chief Executive Officer.

Anil Agarwal, Executive Director, NTPC has been appointed CEO NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN), the 100 per cent owned subsidiary of NTPC limited, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.

NVVN is the nodal agency for implementing the first phase of the Jawahar Lal Nehru National Solar Mission of the government under the National Action Plan for climate change in order to achieve the objectives of long-term energy security and ecologically sustainable growth.

Shares of NTPC closed at Rs 185.10, up 1.12 per cent on the BSE.
