Its total income for the quarter increased marginally by 1.30% to Rs 619.25 crore as against Rs 611.29 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The operating profit for the third quarter declined by 15.5% to Rs 133 crore as against Rs 157.40 crore in December quarter last year.
During the quarter, the company incurred a research and development expense of Rs 65.41 crore, which is treated as revenue expenditure.
The company's stock closed 2.05% lower at Rs 67.05 on Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
