Panasonic launches display solutions targeting biz, colleges

The firm rolled out plasma interactive displays, which also include pen-touch capabilities and features wireless capabilities

Japanese electronics major Panasonic today launched a range of display solutions -- LCDs, LFDs and projectors -- for the Indian market targeting the education sector and enterprises.
 
The firm rolled out plasma interactive displays, which also include pen-touch capabilities and features wireless capabilities.
 
Targeting educational institutions like universities and businesses, Panasonic interactive displays, which comes in sizes of 25-inch to 103 inch, are priced in the range of Rs 1.30-25 lakh.

Besides, the Osaka-headquartered firm also launched three new lines of professional LED displays, which consume less power on account of an automatic dimmer that reacts to surrounding ambient light.
     
The LED displays include 55-inch LED LFV50, the company's first video wall product, the 70-inch and 80-inch LED LF50 series, the first large format panels and LF6, an entry level digital signage.
     
These 70-inch and 80-inch LED LF50, which are suitable for boardrooms, video conferencing, etc, are priced at Rs 5 lakh and Rs 9.5 lakh, respectively.
 
Panasonic also launched a series of ultra-short-throw and normal-short-throw projectors with high image quality and are suitable for classrooms lectures, corporate presentations and digital signage.
     
Both the series of projectors are in the range of Rs 40,000-95,000.
     
That apart, focusing on the price sensitive market, it launched a portable chip DLP projector with 10,000 hours of maximum lamp replacement cycle, which reduces the total cost of ownership. Price in this series are in the range of Rs 35,000-52,000.
     
Panasonic, which employs 12,500 people in India, has over 165 brand showrooms and more than 1,100 service centres across the country. At present, it has 30 branch offices in India.
