Pantaloon Retail (India) today posted 78.57 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 21.16 crore for the fourth quarter ended June 30.
The company's consolidated net profit in the same quarter last year stood at Rs 98.78 crore, which was boosted by other income of Rs 121.24 crore.
The company follows July-June financial year.
Net sales of the company, however, rose to Rs 3,552.45 crore for the reported quarter, as compared to Rs 3,335.61 crore during the same period of previous year, Pantaloon Retail (India) Ltd said in a BSE filing.
For the full year ended June 30, 2012, the company posted a net profit of Rs 63.51 crore, as against Rs 142.47 crore during the previous year.
Net sales of the company rose to Rs 13,031.29 crore for the year ended June 30, 2012, as compared to Rs 11,954.85 crore during the previous year.
On a standalone basis, the company posted a net profit of Rs 261.53 crore for the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2012, as compared to Rs 19.07 crore during the same period of previous year.
The company's standalone net profit for the year ended June 30, 2012, stood at Rs 285.05 crore, as compared to Rs 76.67 crore during the previous year.
Shares of Pantaloon Retail India today closed at Rs 159.85 on the BSE, down 1.99 per cent from its previous close.
