Prism Cement today said its net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2009, rose 21.76 per cent to Rs 74.25, over the same period last year.
The company's net profit was Rs 60.98 crore for the quarter ended June 2008, Prism Cement said in a filing to the BSE.
Net sales rose to Rs 271.31 crore for the quarter ended June 2009, against Rs 226.75 crore in same quarter last year.
The board of directors has proposed a dividend of Rs one a piece for the financial year 2009-2010, the filing added.
Shares of Prism Cement were trading at Rs 39.20 on the BSE, up 5.52 per cent from the previous day close.
